Spring Kids Clay Camp

Overview: A week-long kids' clay camp over spring break, running Monday through Friday, 9:30am - 1pm. 

Dates: Monday, March 24th, 2025 - Friday, March 28th, 2025

Time: 9:30am - 1pm

• 9:30am - 11am: Instruction
• 11am - 11:30am: Snack break
• 11:30am - 1pm: Instruction

Grades: 1st - 5th

Price: $350/student- materials, clay, tools, and firing included

Description:
Let your child’s creativity shine in our handbuilding ceramics program! In this outdoor Spring camp, students will explore clay through exciting projects like pinch pot sculptures, character modeling, and mystical creatures. With guided instruction and plenty of room for imagination, kids will learn handbuilding techniques, design their own projects, decorate their creations, and bring home unique works of art. Materials, clay, tools, and firing included. 

Each day the students will spend the first half of the lesson working on a project and the other half painting the wares with underglaze with a 30 minute break in between. All students must arrive with a lunch each day. At the end of the week, Maker House staff will fire and clear glaze the work which will be ready to be picked up a week or two after the camp.

Location: Onsite at Maker House in an enclosed private outdoor classroom.
