Welcome the new year with a new mug! In this two-day workshop Adams Puryear will share creative ideas and techniques for crafting handbuilt mugs.

Day 1: Focus on creating a mug at the greenware stage. Learn pinching and coiling techniques, slab and pulled handle construction, and adding texture using tools and stamps.

Day 2: Explore various methods of underglaze and slip application, with guidance on design and composition strategies.

The staff will then glaze and fire the work which will be ready to pick up in a couple weeks after the lesson. 

This workshop is ideal for beginner handbuilders and anyone looking to discover the endless possibilities of underglaze techniques using the mug as a 3D canvas.
