Members should be aware that tools and towels are not provided by the studio. We recommend bringing your own tool kit and water bucket. If you do not already own them you may purchase a tool kit from on our site or directly from the studio manager or monitor for $20 which includes basic tools, one sponge, and a water bucket. We also recommend bringing a towel or rag for personal use and cleaning purposes.
Clay -
Clay is not included in monthly membership fees. Clay can be purchased from the studio manager or monitor on duty.
We are offering 7 different pre-mixed cone 10 clay bodies from Laguna Clay Company in addition to our own cone 10 studio reclaim which will be a mixture of clay for $30/25lbs. We do not allow for outside clay bodies for a few reasons:
- To insure the safety of the kilns
- Because we are including the cost of firing and glazing in the cost of clay. This allows us to fire work without having to charge members and students per cubic inch for kiln space or glazes.
- All of our studio glazes are formulated for cone 10

Please allow 2 weeks for your work to be fired once it is left on the shelf. Keep in mind that each firing i.e. bisque and glaze should be taken into account when assessing deadlines. If you are not satisfied with a piece upon completion and do not want to keep it please move it from the shelf to the designated donation area.
All work must be picked up and removed from the studio within one month after it has been fired. Work that is not picked up will be thrown out or donated after months has lapsed. If you are not satisfied with a piece upon completion and do not want to keep it please move it from the shelf to the designated donation area.

If you are unsure of how to use a piece of equipment for example the slab roller, extruder, spray booth, wedging tables, wheels, etc. do not use it without taking to the studio manager or studio monitor on duty.
